  So what can you do to keep the meat from drying out?

Actually, there are several things you can do:

  1. You can use a barbecue sauce that does not contain sugars or tomatoes and thin it with water, apple juice or beer/wine.
  2. Many salad dressings make excellent marinades – you would want to thin these in the same manner.
  3. Play around with different ideas and see what fits your palate, but always remember - don't burn the sauce!
